Tapered Roller Bearings

1. What is tapered roller bearing

Tapered roller bearings are a kind of roller bearings that use tapered rollers as rolling bodies, specially designed to conform to the load, able to withstand radial and axial loads at the same time. Tapered roller bearings are usually composed of inner ring, outer ring, rollers and cage, the inner ring and outer ring of the raceway are tapered, rollers in which along the taper rolling, this geometric design of the rolling body and the inner and outer ring to form a specific contact angle (usually 15 ° -30 °), can simultaneously withstand radial loads and one-way axial load, load carrying efficiency than the ordinary roller bearings to improve more than 3 times.

2. Types of Tapered Roller Bearings

Since they can only withstand single direction axial force, they usually need to be installed in pairs to balance the axial force in different directions.

(2)Double Row Tapered Roller Bearings
Double row tapered roller bearings consist of two inner rings, two outer rings and two sets of rollers, can simultaneously withstand radial and bi-directional axial loads, so they are suitable for mechanical equipment that requires high rigidity and axial positioning.
